We were contracted to apply resin coatings into a lorry maintenance area in three different colours, to demark storage areas and walkways from the rest of the floor.
The concrete that had been laid for the new pits had been put in too high, so we were asked to address this first.
The high area of the concrete was brought down using a three-phase scabbling machine that aggressively and quickly brought it down. We had to bring it below the level of the pit in order to apply the levelling compound back to the height it should be.
The rest of the floor was ground using our HTC RX8 grinder to give a strong mechanical key for the resin.
The levelling compound aside the floor only required localised crack and gouge repairs which we did using epoxy repair compound.
Beginning with the grey, we applied two coats of epoxy resin to the main areas of the floor, following that the blue and the green resin was applied in the same manor using a squeegee and a roller.
Once all the coats were applied and cured, we taped out the demarcation line and applied them with a small roller.
