Stomp Resins Ltd were asked to prepare and coat this Coach Workshop.
The customer wanted a resin coated floor with walkways, with floating pads in front of the roller shutter doors and yellow and black chevrons around the pits in order to demark them.
The floor was ground using our three-phase grinder vacuumed and edging machine for the edge work. Then vacumed clean.
The floor was a brand new slab, so repairs were very minimal and were done after the first coat with epoxy repair compound.
Joints that had not been filled, were filled with jointing compound so that debris and liquids could not get down in to the concrete.
We began the coating process with the grey, but due to low temperatures, this had not cured by the next day so we decided to do a first coat of the blue and give the grey longer to dry.
The customer supplied more heaters and this did the trick to cure the resin. We then installed the black and yellow chevrons by taping them out and then using a small roller applying first the yellow one day with the second coat of blue and then the black with the second coat of grey.
